TEENAGERS REMIXES

The Teenagers from the UK have been hustlin' their way up the loins and to the hearts of the unclassified kids (ie bangers, hipsters, hustlers). Their most recent album "Reality Check" featuring touching summer-lovin' tracks such as Homecomeing (boy: "I fucked my american cunt" girl: "I loved my english romance"). My favorite thing about the Teenagers' music is the juxtaposition of their lyrics that are often catty and sometimes womanizing (because teenage girls are, uh duh!, total snatches) with the airy strums of their gentle guitars, retaining a rocky beat. One thing to be noted of the Teenagers is their excellent remixes and the excellent remixes of them by artists such as Tepr, Guns N Bombs or Deloreon. I know I've posted at least a couple on Selektor1. Everyone at the heart of the nue-rave revolution loves remixes, especially well done ones that don't sound like pop songs dubbed over with a miami house beat. Their remixes are often melodic reprises from the Roland-heavy Daft Punky sound that has become so popular in the scene. Break on through to the other side and give them a listen.
